Man Booker Prize (2018)
The Man Booker Prize, Britain's most well-known prize for fiction, is awarded to the "best" original English language novel appearing in print worldwide during a specified time period. Launched in 1969, the prize aimed to increase the reading of quality fiction, and to attract “the intelligent general audience”. The prize is currently open to writers of any nationality, writing originally in English in print or electronic format, and published in the UK by an imprint formally established in the UK. The imprint must publish a list of at least two literary fiction novels by different authors each year. The shortlisted books are reviewed here.
